Vienna Film Prize 2007

Susanne Brandstätter's documentary Rule of Law received the Vienna Film Prize 2007 at the  this years Viennale.

"...a plea for justice instead of revenge and for tolerance towards dissenters and, on top of that, extremely exciting from the first to the last minute." Jury decision

Viennale 2007

Viennas biggest International Film Festival takes place from 19 to 31 October.

Amongst a multiplicity of outstanding and exiting feature films, documentaries and short films, again there are some projects screened which were funded by the Vienna Film Fund.

Toronto International Film Festival 2007

The this years film festival of Toronto (6 - 15 September) offers a huge Austrian presence, eight Austrian productions have been invited, six of them funded by the Vienna Film Fund: Reclaim Your Brain by Hans Weingartner and Silent Resident by Christian Frosch will celebrate their world premiere at the estimated festival.

Also shown: Import Export by Ulrich Seidl, The Counterfeiters by Stefan Ruzowitzky, Forever Never Anywhere by Antonin Svoboda and Schindler's Houses by Heinz Emigholz.

Import Export runs competition in Cannes

Ulrich Seidl`s  latest work will be shown at this years filmfestival in Cannes, which will take place from 16 to 27 of May. The film is selected in competition and in the running for the Palme d'Or.
