E. Subsidies Awarded after Success

E.1. Application of These Guidelines and Subsidy Amount

Projects that satisfy the general terms of subsidization (see Section A., Items 1. to 7. of the Subsidy Guidelines) by applicants who are eligible to apply for subsidies as defined under Item 4.1. of the General Section of the Subsidy Guidelines and who have already received funding from the FILM FUND for a financially successful film are eligible to receive additional funding in the amount of repayments (see Item 7. of the General Section of the Subsidy Guidelines) made on the basis of proceeds from one or more reference films that received non-repayable subsidies of up to twice the amounts repaid. The following time periods will apply in this case:

Cumulation of repayments already made from the proceeds from one or more reference films is possible over a maximum time period of 24 months and up to a total amount of EUR 350,000.00.

An application can be made for subsidization of a reference film within 18 months after the last repayment is made. After that period, the possibility of receiving such funding will expire irrevocably.

The maximum amount of a non-repayable subsidy as defined in Section B. of the Subsidy Guidelines is EUR 50,000.00. Applications can also be made simultaneously for non-repayable subsidies for several projects (Slate Funding).

The maximum amount of a non-repayable subsidy for a production as defined in Section C. of the Subsidy Guidelines is EUR 350;000.00.

The funding recipient is free at his or her discretion to employ a maximum of double the amount of reference funds for exploitation as described in Section F. for financing exploitation of a film subsidized by the FILM FUND in its entirety, though within the
prescribed maximum amounts.

In addition, the applicant has - according to the amount of the budget covered by the FILM FUND - a claim to an additional subsidy which must be repaid in the event of success to a maximum amount equal to the non-repayable subsidy.

E.2. Application Materials, Decision-making Process, Deadlines
Applying for a subsidy awarded after success is possible at any time, though by June 30th at the latest of the calendar year during which the first installment will be paid.
The decision of the FILM FUND, represented by its management board, will be made within four weeks after submission of the application as specified under Item 4.2. of the General Subsidy Guidelines and submission of all required accounts of proceeds.
