SynopsisWe live in the Age of Aluminium. The luminous silver light metal is utilized in a various range of everyday products: from aluminium cans to alloy rims, as an aircraft- or computer manufacturing material, as saran wrap, in coffee machines or mess kits Aluminium is easy to handle, weighs very little and possesses high thermal conductivity. No other metal compares to the rapid growth of the industrial production of aluminium. The movie portrays the age of aluminium we live in and shows the production process from the mining of bauxite to the melting and final processing of aluminium culminating in a wide range of products.
