Synopsis

The stories of the prostitutes, told via a filmic journey from Mexico to Thailand to Bangladesh to Nepal and Vienna, revolve around the lives of the individual women, their loves, longings, hopes, needs, and the brutalities they experience. The premise of the film is that these women can tell us more about the relationships between men and women than anyone else because they have experienced everything that can take place between a man and a woman through their bodies, their, minds, and their souls. They have awakened desires, spurned passions, fulfilled fantasies, and allayed fears. For this they have always received money, but it has not made their lives rich in anything but stories and history.
