Oscar Nomination for The White Ribbon

Michael Haneke's The White Ribbon is nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 82. Acadamy Awards.

Christian Berger is nominated for Best Camera (The White Ribbon).

 

The 82. Academy Awards will take place on March 7th 2010 in Los Angeles.

Austrian presence at the 60th Berlinale

In the group of films selceted for the Competition of the 60th Berlinale there are even three Austrian productions: The Robber by Benjamin Heisenberg based on the novel by Martin Prinz and On the Path by Jasmila Žbanić, who was successful in Berlin before with Grbavica (Golden Bear 2006) and Jew Süß - Rise and Fall with Tobias Moretti & Moritz Bleibtreu, directed by Oskar Roehler.

Peter Kern's Initiation will be shown in the in der Panorama section.

 
 

The White Ribbon: Golden Globe

Michael Haneke's impressive work The White Ribbon received the award for the best foreign film at the this year's 67th Golden Globe Awards, a huge success!

European Film Prize and Golden Globe nomination for Michael Haneke

This years European Film Prize, which took place for the 22nd time, ended with a great success for Michael Haneke and his masterpiece The White Ribbon - it got awarded three times: best film, best director and best screenplay.

And here's another prestigious nomination: for the best foreign film at the 67th Golden Globe Awards, which will take place in January 2010.
