Rosi, Kurt and Koni are among nearly one million Austrians who have inadequate literacy skills. Throughout this documentary, the topic of illiteracy in Austria is discussed extensively by an observation of three very personal stories. The film follows Rosi, Kurt and Koni on their paths to becoming more independent and to finding a place in society despite their lack of skills. It confronts us with the problems and obstacles, which arise from their daily lives and tells us the story of three strong personalities that do not let it become a burden with regard to other aspects of their lives.
