12. Februar 2019 As the 48 regional film funds, that comprise the CineRegio network, meet for their usual plenary session during Berlinale to exchange learning and inspiration, the impact of their work is evident in the 42 films selected for the Berlinale 2019.
8 of the 17 feature films in this year's Main Competition equivalent to 47%, as well as 14 films in Panorama, 5 in Forum Competition, 4 in Berlinale Shorts and 8 titles in Generation.

With the upcoming Romanian Presidency conference 18th-19th March on Fostering European Cooperation Through Co-Production - CineRegio members are well-positioned to exchange views and good practises to strengthen the co-development and co-production of films".
CineRegio is the association of regional film funds in Europe. The members invest in film culture and foster regional business by collaborating across Europe. The network counts 48 regional film funds from 14 countries and together the members represent an annual total funding capital of €180 million to support film culture.
